Outta here!!!!

We have never been a part of the Alpine Start Club. Despite getting up early-ish and aiming for noon, we are just heading west on State St. It is 4:44. PM. The hours were marked by the change in programming on KRBX. Started with Liam's Playground and Wayne is now ushering us out of town with sonic Saturday. Hopefully Wendy will keep us company for a bit into the canyon. At least we are leaving on our original departure date, considering the van wasn't in the driveway ready for prep until a mere two days ago. We are three miles from home and Runy is already asleep. And the AC is still working. Can't get much better than this!  And no drop down drag-out fight to kick it off either, although moving three or four bikes three times evoked a number of unmentionable expletives and sent Grandma and the kids to the Roosevelt for ice cream. Rich and I shaved each other down just before leaving, his beard and my hair. Watch out Alaska, here we come!!!
